Yokohama Tires

Over a Century of Tire-Making

Yokohama Rubber was founded in Japan in 1917 and is one of the country's oldest tire makers. It's known for quiet, comfortable touring tires, a strong performance line, and a long-running focus on low-rolling-resistance compounds that help fuel economy.

Advan, Geolandar, iceGUARD, and More

Advan is Yokohama's performance family, developed alongside its motorsport programs and popular with drivers who want precise steering. Geolandar covers SUVs and light trucks, from highway tires to all-terrain designs. The Avid family covers comfortable touring tires for everyday sedans and crossovers, and BluEarth is Yokohama's fuel-efficiency-focused line.

For winter, Yokohama's iceGUARD family is built for cold, icy roads — a good fit for drivers who want a dedicated winter tire that stays comfortable and quiet on cleared pavement between storms.

Yokohama typically sits a step below Michelin and Bridgestone on price while still offering strong engineering, which makes it an appealing option for drivers who value a refined ride. It's also worth considering for hybrids and fuel-conscious commuters, where low rolling resistance pays off over time.

Yokohama for Quiet Commutes

Road noise is one of the most underrated factors in tire choice. If you spend a lot of time on Highway 404 or the 400, a quiet touring tire can make a long commute noticeably less tiring, and that's where Yokohama's Avid and Geolandar highway families tend to stand out. Ask us to compare a Yokohama touring tire with the alternatives in your size — differences in noise and comfort can matter more day to day than small differences in price. Low-rolling-resistance options like BluEarth can also trim fuel use a little on every one of those commutes.
