There's No Single Answer — Here's Why
Search "car detailing cost" and you'll get wildly different numbers, because the honest answer depends on two things: how big the vehicle is, and how much work it actually needs. A car that just needs a wash and vacuum costs a fraction of what a neglected SUV needs to look showroom-ready. Instead of guessing, here's our real, published pricing — no estimate ranges, no "call for a quote" games.
The first fork in the road is simpler than the six package names suggest: do you need the outside cleaned, the inside cleaned, or both? Exterior-only work (a hand wash and wax) costs less than a full detail; interior-only work (steam cleaning and shampoo) is priced separately too. Most vehicles that haven't been detailed in a while need both, which is where our Deluxe, Premium, and Showroom tiers come in.
The other variable is vehicle size. Every package we offer is priced in tiers — cars first, then SUVs or trucks, then vans or 7-passenger vehicles on the packages that break out that far. That's not an arbitrary upcharge: a van or a 7-passenger SUV genuinely has more interior surface area to vacuum, shampoo, and steam, and more exterior panel area to hand wash and wax. A quote for a compact sedan and a quote for a full-size pickup should look different, and at Terron Tire, they're published as different numbers rather than negotiated case by case.

What You're Actually Paying For
Every package includes a genuine hand wash with a chamois dry — not an automated tunnel wash, which swirls and hazes paint over time with repeated use. On the interior side, "steam clean" isn't marketing language here: Deluxe, Premium, and Interior Detail all use a tornado-attachment vacuum plus a full steam pass through vents, consoles, and seams, not just a quick pass with a shop-vac.
It's also worth knowing which tiers don't include steam cleaning, so you're not paying for something you're not getting. Express Detail and Wash & Wax are both built as quicker, lighter services — they cover a hand wash, a vacuum, and a surface wipe-down, but not a full fabric shampoo or steam pass. If your interior needs more than a quick refresh, Interior Detail, Deluxe, Premium, or Showroom are the tiers built for that.
Most packages, including Express Detail and Wash & Wax, turn around the same day. For the full breakdown of what each tier includes feature-by-feature, see our detailing package comparison.
Comparing the Cost to Doing It Yourself
A DIY wash and vacuum obviously costs less upfront — a bucket of soap and a shop-vac are cheap. What it doesn't include is the equipment that actually makes the biggest difference: a tornado-attachment vacuum built to pull embedded debris a household vacuum can't reach, and a steam system that lifts ground-in grime and odor-causing residue out of fabric rather than just pressing it deeper in. For a light touch-up between visits, DIY is fine. For anything closer to a real deep clean, the gap in results usually outweighs the gap in price.
There's also an accountability difference that's easy to overlook when comparing cost alone. We're a five-minute drive for most of York Region, not a call centre — if something's off after your visit, you can walk back in and have it addressed, which isn't really a comparison point against doing it yourself in the driveway.
That's also the same guarantee that stands behind every other service we offer: every detail we complete is backed by our workmanship guarantee, so if something isn't right after you pick up your vehicle, tell us and we'll make it right rather than treating the invoice as the end of the conversation.
How to Pick the Right Package for Your Budget
If you're not sure where to start, match the package to what the vehicle actually needs rather than picking the most expensive option. And if you're already booking a tire swap or window tinting, ask about combining it with a detail in the same visit — we'll do our best to schedule it as one trip instead of several. Most packages, including Express Detail and Wash & Wax, also turn around same-day in most cases, so a detail doesn't have to mean losing your vehicle for the weekend. See the full detailing packages and pricing page for photos and complete feature lists on every tier.
And if none of the six tiers seem like an exact fit for what your vehicle needs, call the shop and describe the condition it's in — we'd rather point you toward the right package, or the right add-on, than have you overpay for scope you don't need or underbuy for a job that needed more.
